I worked hard designing a metal Support band that would wrap around the Norcold Door Frame Plastic Hinge area where it always cracks and breaks, causing customers to purchase new refrigerators, due to most door no longer available. I worked to solve that problem. I have now finished the new design, it's made right here in the USA. The Spring Steel Metal Support Band can be added to your Norcold Door Frame Plastic Hinge area that always cracks, breaks, before the plastic cracks and causes the doors to fall off. Why wait till it's too late
Of course, if you have Our Door Hinge Repair kit I already sell, it repairs your problem, now along with our new Metal Support Band “it solves problem for good” by adding Our Metal Support Band around the Plastic Hinge front area you will never have the problem again. My New designed Metal Support Band will fit both the standard Norcold Door frame like the ones listed below and the Polar series new Norcold Models listed below. As most RV customers know, replacement doors for the older models are not available and this Metal Support Band along with our Hinge Repair kit part kit 634166 will solve your broken Door Frame Hinge rather the plastic hinge is completely broken off which you can use JB Weld to bond back in place and the Metal Support Band will wrap around the broken hinge, holding it tightly in place by 3 screws and also using our Metal Hinge Repair kit carrying all the weight, now it will be Stronger than when new with an all metal corner. Better yet, add the Metal Support Band and Our Metal Repair Kit before your Plastic hinge area starts to crack in the middle of your travels to either your Standard Norcold Model or to the Polar series Model. Also Most Polar Series doors are not available either.

To install when using with the 634166 kits: simply slide the 2 tabs of the Metal Hinge Repair Kit under the Door frame in place with the Round Ring firmly around the bushing, mark your top 2 holes in the top Door Frame. Use a small drill to make a pilot hole to attach the screws furnished to secure Metal Hinge kit plate. If your Plastic bottom Hinge area is badly cracked or broken out, use JB Weld first to place under the area and then place the Hinge repair in place to screw down tight to form a strong Hinge repaired area. Now the Support Band will be place against front Door surface, mark your end hole first to screw down tight. The Support band will not fit flush when test fit, once the spring steel is flexed down tight, Mark the holes to pre-drill, use the screws furnished to secure the Support Band tight. If needed depending on the damage, you can apply JB Weld under the Support Band too.
To install when using with the Polar Metal Hinge Repair kit: simply fit the Metal Hinge Repair Kit to the Door frame with the Round Ring firmly around the Door bushing, mark top 2 holes in the Door Frame and make the 3 holes on the end plate. Use a small drill to make pilot holes to attach using screws furnished to secure Metal Hinge plate top 2 screws only. NOTE: If your Plastic bottom Hinge area is badly cracked or broken out, use JB Weld first to place under the area and then place the Hinge repair in place to screw down tight to form a strong Hinge repaired area. Now Slide the Support Band around the plastic hinge the short end under the Hinge Repair Kit, now secure the 3 end holes tight. The Support band will not fit flush till other screws are tight, once the spring steel is flexed down tight, Mark the 2 front holes to pre-drill, use the screws furnished to secure the Support Band tight. If needed depending on the damage, you can apply JB Weld under the Support Band too. All metal Hinge area to last many years.
Door hinge repair when Plastic broken part is missing
If your Plastic Hinge Area part completely broken off and the broken part is lost, that’s not a problem. You can use Our Metal Support Band. Place the Metal Support Band in place with our Door Hinge Repair kit. Now use 2 part Epoxy Putty to fill the void by filling the Epoxy Putty to form the area missing up through Metal Support Band to the Metal Hinge Repair hinge ring. Level off and let cure. Once cured hard, drill a new center hole for your hinge pin. Now you are back with New fixed forever door hinge repair.
