Compressor Unit AC

(DOM Hvac 120VAC) This unit fits: Dometic model  RM or DM 3662 3663     This Replacement unit will convert your existing fridge to a residential fridge, which eliminates your LP gas/ 120V electric absorption system. The cooling unit is built with a compressor system and comes standard with Universal HVAC Refrigerator Controller which is designed specifically for the Hvac units. The universal controller will eliminate your existing Dometic controls on the front and back of the fridge.  This cooling unit is designed to withstand hot humid temps and will keep your ice-cream hard with 70% faster cooling. The Hvac unit uses about 66% less power than the absorption unit uses on the electric setting.  Power usage: .8 amps at 120V (96 watts).

You will need approx. 6 1/2″ of clearance from the back of fridge box to the inside of the vent door louvers at the bottom center of the fridge, where the compressor will set.  The air louvers on the back of the vent door can be trimmed away if needed for a little more clearance.

This unit comes with new controls, installation manual, foam sealant, thermal mastic, foil tape, freezer/fin screws and LP gas plug, basically everything needed to do the installation, no additional parts needed.

Manual for Universal Hvac Controller This controller eliminates all your existing Norcold or Dometic controls. So that means that your front display panel, your interior light, and your rear control board will no longer work. This new controller has its own temp control devices and thermostats, as well as a light bulb that is motion activated. It also features two built-in fans that blow air towards the fins which forces the cold off the fins and into the fridge box, giving you a more even temp throughout as well as keeping frost from building up on the fins. The switch on the front is what you will use to turn the entire refrigerator on/off the fridge. The switch should be in the up position to turn the fridge on.

Operating the Controller:

Once you flip the switch to the on position to turn on the fridge, the temp controllers will light up, the fans will turn on and the light will turn on as the motion sensor will detect your movement. (After 30 seconds of no movement, the motion sensor will shut the light off.) The blue number (bottom) on the temp controller is what the temp is set to, and the red number (top) is the actual temp inside the fridge section. The temp is preset to 34F for the fridge. This temp does not need to change. Do not be alarmed if your own thermometer and this controller are not always the same. There is nothing more you need to do as this controller will tell the compressor when to turn on or off.
