When you are testing your refrigerator to confirm rather the cooling unit is good or bad for the models above, do not test by LP gas. This thermostat is set up so the LP gas will light an burner making the coils hot, but no cooling. A bad thermostat will have the low flame at all times, but no high flame, which does the cooling. The low flame only maintains. Test any cooling unit by AC electric power first.
